Your supplement shelf, but make it work for your life.

Where your bottles live can decide whether you take them. Here’s how to set up a spot that works for you.

Put them where the routine happens

The kitchen counter if you take them with breakfast, the nightstand if it’s a bedtime thing. Habits form around cues in your day, so the bottles belong right next to yours.1

A cabinet you open once a week, or a drawer you never open, is where good intentions go to hide.

Go with the label on storage

Check each label for how to store it, and do what it says. And pick a spot that’s out of children’s reach.

One spot, one lineup

Line the bottles up in the order you take them, or keep two small groups: morning and evening. When it’s time, you just go down the line.

Pill cases: yes or no?

A weekly pill case makes it obvious whether today’s are done, which helps on busy mornings. The trade-off is that the labels stay behind in the bottles, so keep the bottles nearby, or a photo of each label on your phone.

Clear out what you’re done with

Bottles you’ve stopped taking crowd out the ones you’re taking now. Every few months, pull out anything you’re done with, and anything with a date on the label that’s passed.

  • Near your cue: wherever your routine already happens.
  • As the label says: storage instructions, and out of children’s reach.
  • In order: the way you take them.
  • Cleared out: only what you’re taking now.
